Running for Theo . . .

With the Great Bristol 10k rapidly approaching, the Aspire team have been putting themselves through their paces in preparation for the event on the 5 May.

Spurring each other on through social media updates, we’ve seen PBs achieved for pace, distance and overall time.  Even a weekend away with the girls didn’t deter two of the team donning their trainers and running along Brighton prom early on the Sunday morning (pic).  See how we got on in next month’s newsletter.

There is a story behind our entry with one of our team having experienced the devastating loss of his beloved son, Theo, less than a year ago.  We are therefore dedicating our run to Theo and his family, and are hoping our endeavours raise awareness of the struggles that young people face today, and the organisations that are available to provide much-needed support.  Off The Record is a mental health social movement by and for young people aged 11-25 living in Bristol and South Gloucestershire and if you’d like to make a donation to this worthy cause you can do so here
