P3M3 finally, eventually, lastly - it’s done

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

Having been the lead author for MSP we are now used to the trauma of final versions and last minute amendments. However, it’s always a relief when it finally goes off to the OGC for compilation.

It will be launched at the Best Practice Showcase next week.

At that time Aspire Europe will be released their fixed price P3M3 assessment packages at prices that will make the model more accessible to all organisations.

Look us up at our stand.

This is a great chance to recognise the unsung hero of Aspire Europe Ltd, it’s Claire Rookes our Operations Director. Claire keeps our company going running, organises the office and suffers most of the stress. Unlike the consultants who get out and about with clients, Claire is tied to the office and gives us all a hard time if we aren’t up to the mark.

Best Practice Showcase

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008

If you are into Besd Practice this is the event for you. It focuses on the OGC best practice tool kits (MSP, PRINCE2, MoR) and has all the major suppliers will be there.

There are a number of reasons for recommending it (one of which isn’t introducing you to our competitors !)

1.       There are two or three threads of seminars running during the day that offer practical advice and will always involve the customers perspective (it’s part of the process for being accepted)

2.       There are smaller more interactive workshops called “Birds of a Feather” where you can focus on a particular aspect or area of interest.

3.       It’s free entry

4.       You genuinely do get a free lunch

5.       It’s dominated by the public sector.

We are going to have a stand so if you are attending hopefully you will drop by and say hello to Robert, Alan and myself.

The OGC’s major launch at this years event with be the Portfolio, Programme and Project Management Maturity Model (P3M3) which we have been the lead authors for.  We will also be hosting a Birds of a Feather event on the topic.

. The other event for those of you that are particularly interested in Best Practice will be a session called “Ask the Author”. All the OGC products have been or are going through a refresh and we’ve pulled all the authors up on to a stage to be interrogated by the masses. So if you have a view on PRINCE2, MSP, Management of Risk etc, this is your opportunity to take revenge.
