Aspire Europe over the last year have developed a new approach to Risk Management for WNDC, based on OGC Best Practice Management of Risk (M_o_R). This included the creation of a new Risk Management Policy, Risk Management Process and Strategy. They helped us analyse our training needs, and have delivered a Risk Management Masterclass for our Audit and Risk Committee, a Risk Management Workshop for the Executive team, M_o_R training to Foundation and Practitioner Level for specific managers and executives, and three one day overviews of the Principles of Risk Management for those members of the management and staff. All was delivered in the collaborative and professional manner that we have come to expect from Aspire.

Aspire Europe have been providing portfolio, programme and project management training courses over the last two years, helping support to support our implementation of Portfolio Management in the council. They have delivered a range of standard OGC courses but their value has principally been in the development and delivery of specific courses that are targeted at supporting the development of our internal performance capability. The assignment that springs to mind is their work with our team of strategic directors to help them gain a greater understanding of their roles as SRO's over a number of monthly workshops, this work then cascaded down into next tier of management to establish the principles of Business Change Management in our programme environments.
